Who could headline Glastonbury 2027? The rumours are already building

With Glastonbury taking a fallow year in 2026, speculation about its 2027 return has had plenty of time to gather momentum — and some very big names are already being linked with Worthy Farm.

One thing we do know is that the headline acts have been chosen. Festival organiser Emily Eavis confirmed in August 2026 that all three Glastonbury 2027 headliners have now been booked, although their identities remain under wraps.

So, who might we see walking onto the Pyramid Stage?

Harry Styles

Harry Styles is currently one of the names attracting the strongest speculation.

Reports have linked the British superstar with one of the coveted 2027 headline slots, and after his enormous solo success and stadium shows, a first Glastonbury headline appearance would certainly feel like a natural next step.

Nothing has been officially announced by Glastonbury, however, so for now Harry remains firmly in the watch this space category.

Sam Fender

Another name that simply won't go away is Sam Fender.

Fender has previously performed at Glastonbury and has continued his rise to become one of Britain's biggest live artists. Speculation around outdoor shows in summer 2027 has only added fuel to suggestions that his next step could be the top of the Pyramid Stage.

Could 2027 finally be his headline year?

Taylor Swift

Then there's Taylor Swift.

Swift was due to headline Glastonbury in 2020 before that year's festival was cancelled during the pandemic, meaning there has long been a sense of unfinished business between the superstar and Worthy Farm.

Her name continues to feature prominently in predictions for 2027 — and, interestingly, when Emily Eavis was recently asked about the speculation, she did not reveal whether Swift was among the three artists already booked.

A Taylor Swift Pyramid Stage appearance would undoubtedly be one of the biggest moments in recent Glastonbury history, but at this stage it remains speculation.

What about Oasis?

Few potential bookings would create quite the reaction of Oasis at Glastonbury.

Following the band's hugely successful reunion, speculation has inevitably turned to whether the Gallagher brothers could bring Oasis back to Worthy Farm.

The band last headlined Glastonbury in 2004, so a return more than two decades later would be an enormous festival moment.

Again, though, there has been no official confirmation.

Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Rihanna and more...

The rumour mill doesn't stop there.

Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Fred again.., Ed Sheeran and Radiohead are among the other major names that have appeared in predictions and discussions surrounding the 2027 festival.

Some will inevitably prove to be wishful thinking. Others may appear somewhere on Glastonbury's enormous line-up without necessarily taking one of the three Pyramid headline positions.

And that's half the fun.

One superstar we can now rule out: Madonna

For a while, Madonna looked like one of the most intriguing possibilities for 2027.

But that particular rumour can now be put to bed.

Emily Eavis confirmed in August 2026 that Madonna will not headline Glastonbury 2027, despite considerable speculation around a possible appearance.

With the three actual headliners apparently already secured, the guessing game has become even more interesting.

And what about the famous Sunday Legends slot?

Away from the three main headliners, another announcement that always generates enormous interest is the Sunday Legends slot.

There is already speculation about who might fill it in 2027, with Robbie Williams among the names being discussed.

As with the headliners, nothing has been officially announced yet — but after a fallow year, expectations for Glastonbury's return are understandably sky-high.

The Glastonbury guessing game begins

Part of the magic of the months leading up to Glastonbury is trying to work out which rumours are genuine, which are educated guesses and which are simply festival wish lists.

For 2027, we already know something important: the three headliners are booked.

We just don't know who they are.

Harry Styles? Sam Fender? Taylor Swift? Oasis? Or somebody nobody has seen coming?
